I have over a decade of experience as a science teacher, ESL teacher, instructional coach, and educational consultant. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master of Science in Teaching. I'm certified to teach science grades 7-12.
I will provide a worksheet for the class. Students who do not have access to a printer may write on a piece of paper or in a notebook. Students should bring something to write with. For the craft, students will need -white and black construction paper -scissors -a piece of string (optional) -a black marker or crayon -tape -glue (optional) I will use a globe and a flashlight during the lesson. Students are not required to bring these to class but may do so if they'd like.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will use Youtube to show the videos. Students will not need to access Youtube on their own, as I will share my screen. All videos are suitable for young viewers. We will use scissors for the craft. Therefore, parental supervision is required during the craft portion of the lesson.
