Students will learn the science behind the four seasons through the popular Disney movie, Frozen. During class, we will watch the video/listen to the song "In Summer," and discuss the question, "What would happen to Olaf in the summer?" Students will then learn the science behind the four seasons. We will conclude the class by creating a special holiday gift craft "Do You Want to Build a Snowman." The tentative class agenda includes: 1. Introductions (5 mins.*) 2. Class norms (5 mins.) 3. Listening to the Song/Watching the Video (3 mins.) 4. Quiet individual reflection to answer the question, "What will happen to Olaf in the summer?" (2 mins.) 5. Share Out (5 mins.) 6. Lesson on the science behind the four seasons (10 mins.) 7. Holiday Gift Craft (10 mins.) 8. Wrap-Up (5 mins.) *Times listed for each activity are approximate and will be adjusted based on students' needs. Classes are 45 minutes long. ** Q&A is embedded throughout the lesson.

Parental Guidance
I will use Youtube to show the videos. Students will not need to access Youtube on their own, as I will share my screen. All videos are suitable for young viewers. We will use scissors for the craft. Therefore, parental supervision is required during the craft portion of the lesson.
Supply List
I will provide a worksheet for the class. Students who do not have access to a printer may write on a piece of paper or in a notebook. Students should bring something to write with. For the craft, students will need -white and black construction paper -scissors -a piece of string (optional) -a black marker or crayon -tape -glue (optional) I will use a globe and a flashlight during the lesson. Students are not required to bring these to class but may do so if they'd like.
