2. The students will be able to name key characteristics of this object.
3. The students will be able to participate in classroom interaction on the Outschool platform through photos and video clips to deepen their understanding of each lesson topic.
4. The students will be able to evaluate what they like about their individual projects.
Homework Offered
Students will complete the lesson assignments after each video clip in the unit's playlist. The unit assignments are as follows: Assignment 1: After viewing video #1 in the unit's playlist, the students should upload a picture or video clip with their answers to a learning challenge that will be given in video #1. This assignment will take approximately five minutes. Assignment 2: The students will create a project with modeling dough or clay as they view the step-by-step instructions in each unit's video #2. For homework, the students will upload a photo of their project. They may also make positive comments about other students' photos on the classroom message board. This photo uploading assignment after completing the clay / modeling dough project during the class video will take approximately five minutes. Assignment 3: After viewing video #3 in the unit's playlist, the students may upload a video of themselves singing the lesson song, reciting the lesson poem, or verbally sharing their favorite aspect of the lesson topic for that unit. This assignment can take 5-30 minutes, depending on which choice the student makes. It may take the student longer to learn the poem or song if the learner chooses this assignment.

This self-paced class may be the perfect fit for your learner with unique learning needs. Your student may view the learning videos as often as needed. The learner may work at his/her own pace, and may or may not interact in the classroom.
Modeling dough or clay in a variety of colors

Pipe cleaners
Scissors
Toothpicks
Flat tray or piece of cardboard
Parents, please be advised that students may need to use scissors to cut pieces of pipe cleaners during this class. Please provide your learner with safety scissors. Please also be available to monitor your learner's use of scissors during class.
