US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Hello Little Scientists! Are you looking for some hands-on summer fun? In this one-week camp, we will be doing 5 different STEAM/science experiments! Our classes will be interactive and full of discussions! A typical class may look like: 1. Introduction to the topic - We will look at our topic of the day and discuss any previous knowledge or links to our daily lives. 2. Hypotheses - We will address our question and experiment/project of the day and learners will be encouraged to make predictions. 3. Activity - Learners will complete the activity with the guidance of the teacher. Learners will also record their observations. 4. Conclusion - What did we discover from the activity? Each class requires learners to have the materials to participate in the activity. Materials are kept simple and easy to find, with many that you are probably able to find at home. A full breakdown of materials can be found in the "Learner Supply List" below. Grownups should stay with their learners during the activity to supervise and support where needed. Each class will come with a worksheet with space to record their predictions and observations. What experiments will we be doing? 1. How do fish breathe? 2. What can we dissolve in water? 3. How does it rain? 4. Make a Lava Lamp 5. Make a Volcano
