Description

Class Experience

I have a degree in elementary education and have been working with kids through teaching, coaching, and childcare for over 15 years. I have extensive experience and expertise working with ESL learners. Also, I am raising three boys of my own ( ages 1, 5 & 8). I am often inspired to create classes that cover subjects I find important in my own parenting journey. I am a lifelong learner and an avid reader. To support my curriculum development I dedicate significant time to reading, listening, and learning about the most current research on child development, teaching, and parenting.
Optional worksheet
I will provide you with an awesome printable booklet to review with your learner after class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In class, I discuss touching in a basic way (kiss, hug, sitting too close, touching leg). I highly encourage trusted adults to follow up this class with a conversation about the possibility of tricky people being people they know. This class opens the door for you to have a chat with your learner(s) about appropriate physical touch.
