Class Experience

Hello, parents of STAY! In this ongoing club, Stray Kids stans (fans) will gather together weekly to talk about all things Stray Kids! Weekly conversations will be learner and current-events driven, focusing on the latest songs, concerts, news, videos, and merch released by their favorite band. Learners can talk about new topics every week! Whether your child is a baby STAY looking to know more or a seasoned STAY craving someone to cry over Bang Chan’s vocals with, this is the club for them! Fancams, Skzoozs, comebacks, and SKZ Talker will keep your stan busy for hours—or the thirty minutes this class lasts. STAYs will interact with each other as STAYs are known to—like the absolute clowns they are. In the meantime, remember to live, laugh, Felix and give the ones you love a biiiiig hug ;)

Teacher expertise and credentials
Missouri Teaching Certificate in Foreign Language
I am an educator that has worked with learners in all capacities over the last 25 years. I have worked with preschoolers, special education students, ELL students in Spain, online ELL students in China. I taught High School Spanish for 8 years and have been running an alternative microschool I opened in 2019.

I have k-12 Spanish certification, a Master's degree in International Affairs and Administration, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and an Associate's degree in Music.

I am raising my own gifted children in a bilingual home and understand the ups and downs of being bilingual in a predominantly monolingual area. I was a non-traditional Spanish learner and am a non-traditional teacher who believes anyone who speaks one language is capable of learning another.

Everyone in my family is learning at least one additional language to English. We enjoy cooking meals from all over the world, my oldest has spent the last two summers playing with classical ensembles across Europe and my younger children are avid Kpop stans.

I am trained as a proficiency & fluency-based teacher using Comprehensible Input, a methodology based on Dr. Stephen Krashen's Natural Approach to Second Language Acquisition Theory. This means I believe language is most easily learned when it is understandable and interesting to students.

I was the first to offer foreign language conversation clubs on Outschool because most children did not have access to real spontaneous practice of the language they were learning. I recently became the first to offer Stray Kids fan clubs on Outschool as Kpop and Kdramas have taken over my home LOL. I love the plethora of opportunities that exist on Outschool! I am innovative and flexible as a teacher/facilitator and work to create a relaxed, fun, and shame-free environment.

I currently focus on Spanish conversation clubs and Stray Kids Fan Clubs, both public and private.
