This class is all about having fun and staying active. Class will begin with a dynamic warm-up and end with a cooldown. The main goal is to get learners heart rates up and get moving! Weights are not required, but welcomed. Please note that modifications will be provided as needed. Classes will vary in form to keep learners engaged. Each class will target different areas. We will cycle upper body, lower body and full body days. Below are samples of how each method may look like. HIIT (5 exercises, 3 rounds) Exercise 1 - 45 seconds, Rest - 15 seconds Exercise 2 - 45 seconds, Rest - 15 seconds Exercise 3 - 45 seconds, Rest - 15 seconds Exercise 4 - 45 seconds, Rest - 15 seconds Exercise 5 - 45 seconds, Rest - 1 min Repeat 3-4 times Circuit Training Round 1: Exercise 1 - 10 reps, Exercise 2 - 10 reps (Repeat 3 times) Round 2: Exercise 3 - 10 reps, Exercise 4 - 10 reps (Repeat 3 times) Round 3: Exercise 5 - 10 reps, Exercise 6 - 10 reps (Repeat 3 times) Pyramid Exercise 1 - 30 seconds, Rest 10 seconds Exercise 2 - 40 seconds, Rest 10 seconds Exercise 3 - 50 seconds, Rest 10 seconds Exercise 4 - 60 seconds, Rest 1 min Exercise 3 - 50 seconds, Rest 10 seconds Exercise 2 - 40 seconds, Rest 10 seconds Exercise 1 - 30 seconds, Rest 10 seconds
Learning Goals
Learners will learn proper form and breath techniques as they go through each workout.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Parents please be advised that your learner will need an open workout space, proper footwear and a water bottle. Weights will be incorporated, but not required. Additionally, learners should be supervised in case any injuries occur.
Supply List
Learner will need a mat or towel for any floor exercises, weights (optional). water bottle to stay hydrated and proper workout attire.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
Growing up I played sports, volleyball being my favorite. I coached middle school and high school volleyball for 8 years. Teaching the skills to play a sport is only half my job. I really enjoyed teaching my players various exercises that help them accelerate on the court. I hope I can bring that same joy to this online platform.
