Start With Art! II: The Art Class Returns! (Perfect Back To School Art Class For This Semester)
Class experience
Welcome back! When you first started "Start With Art!", the goal was to build a positive mindset and be introduced to basic art principles. This helped you gain skills and confidence. Now, we are putting your skills to more use! In this course, the art class will test your skills, give you more time to create from your own ideas, and introduce complex art from famous artists! I know you have what it takes to make some really great work! This is a more advanced course, so we will be adding...
This class is taught in English.
Long-Term (End-of-Course) Goals: Learners will build on the skills from the first "Start With Art!" class, see how others in the past have used their art skills, and see how they and their peers can use those skills to accomplish their artistic goals. Short-Term Goals: These three goals hang on our classroom wall so that every learner can refer back to them. We touch upon these goals week-to-week. They are our smaller goals that help us reach the larger goals. First, we know we are artists. Second, we carry our materials. Finally, we create daily.
Learners should have some type of drawing paper and a standard pack of markers, crayons, or colored pencils in a range of colors. Learners may also wish to paint to re-create the famous artwork. If so, please have brushes, a smock to protect clothing, something to protect the surface under canvas, canvas/canvas paper, a palette, a cup for paint water, an old rag to wipe spills, and paint in red, blue, yellow, white, and black. You can buy paint in more colors if you wish, but these 5 can make almost any color.
