Class Experience

We're getting a group together to play new and classic improv games! Each class will be different but stand alone so drop in whenever you can or come every week to play fun improv games in an online and interactive way.

Can you keep up with the Zip Zap Zop? What will you do with the Bippity Bop? Is there such a thing as a Clip Clap Clop? There is if we say there is - this is improv!

A fun, energy-filled improv games club full of group fun and making things up on the spot. Students will learn specific improvisation skills such as listening, saying yes to ideas, teamwork and supporting each other through adapted improv exercises. You'll learn the structure of classic and new improv games that you may have seen on TV or played at school. Then you'll be able to practice your new skills by playing the games.

We'll have a different focus every week! Character games will explore different voices, faces, gestures and personalities while working our acting skills. Story games will stretch our imaginations to make up new narratives on the spot. Justification games will help us think quicker on our feet. Singing games will have us rhyming, rapping and making melodies. Physical games will see us moving, grooving and being energized.

It's a jam-packed class that is suitable for all levels of improv, from beginners to more experienced learners. The class will adapt depending on who is in the group, which means you can come back again and again to improve your skills and have more fun.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I am an improviser and actor who has been working professionally for 20 years. Originally from Australia, I started and ran an improv comedy group in Melbourne (which is still going and has just hit the 10 year mark!) and since moving to LA I've gotten experience at Groundlings, The Second City and am a proud member of Comedysportz. I love improv and I love teaching it, I honestly think the skills it has taught me have made my life better. Plus it's so much fun! And accessible for a wide range of ages and people.
