The student will... • develop skills in tone, timing, and articulation while learning tunes; • learn the stories behind the songs; • learn to play songs in differing key signatures, time signatures, tempos, and styles. Tunes include but are not limited to: • My Country Tis of Thee • America, the Beautiful • Yankee Doodle • The Stars and Stripes Forever • American Service songs
Homework Offered
Practice music between sessions as is necessary to be able to play the music with the class the next day.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
