Class Experience

Let's celebrate Star Wars and improve our literacy skills! Students will work on their listening skills while being read a fictional story about different Star Wars characters. Each lesson will consist of a minds on group activity about the particular story of the day.  After that, a story will be read with comprehension questions asked at the end to ensure understanding. We will also discuss character elements of a story in each lesson.  A great way to keep your child reading and writing...

Students will improve their listening, speaking and writing skills by focusing on Star Wars.  They will also learn about elements of a story.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Education.  I am a reading teacher and am in my 14th year of teaching.  I am also a Star Wars fan!

24 hours before each class, I will upload a one page handout that parents may print off to help students to organize their writing better.  If you don't have a printer, no worries!  It's just an option!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
