Calling all Star Wars fans! Join me on a learning adventure across the galaxies as we discover the nuts and bolts (literally) of the biggest ships in the Star Wars universe...those larger than life vessels that are capable of such grand feats as carrying tens of thousands of troops across the galaxy, or destroying entire fleets and star systems in one fell swoop! Along the way students will learn how to take notes using the Cornell note taking system. This class is designed for older students because taking effective notes is a critical skill for our learners in upper grades as their classes in school move towards more lecture-based content. Class Structure: Intro and Greeting Intro to the Cornell note taking system with examples Presentation and discussion of capital ships and general Star Wars universe Quiet writing period (for students to finish up their notes/reflect) Share time How to get the most out of the Cornell note taking system Conclusion and goodbye until next time!
