Assessment
Each student learns and moves differently. This isn't a class of perfection, rather a class of moving and having fun. The student can go at their own pace. If there are moves they cannot do, they can improvise.

Class Experience

May the force be with you! In this fun and interactive class we will work out with our fellow Padawans (Jedi apprentices). Lightsabers and dressing up are strongly encouraged. Be prepared to learn skills that will get you sweating and prepare you to become a Jedi Knight, as well as having the opportunity to discuss with our fellow Jedi friends our favorite work out moves and Star Wars characters. (Newly extended time and material!)

Class Structure based on workouts and breaks for discussions:

5 min: Introductions/ Star Wars mini discussion

20 min: Jedi Workout with a few discussions and water breaks
•5 min Force training with me (Rey)
•4 min lightsaber workout with Luke Skywalker (youtube video, with permission), followed by 4 minutes of student-led workouts
•5 min Lightsaber workout with me (Rey).
Some of the moves included are: Clone Chops (sit ups), Jedi Twists, Rebel Runs, Force Strikes (lightsaber swings), and more!

5 min: Blocking training/cool down

5-8 min: Student spotlight

*Classes will be between 35-40 min depending on number of students enrolled. At the end of each class learners are welcome to share their favorite workout/Jedi moves they learned that day.

Learners are encouraged to bring a lightsaber, a stick, a pool noodle, or something along those lines. If you don't have anything, it's ok, we love make believing. It is also important to have a good amount of space to move around, as well as comfortable shoes (or bare feet), a mat or carpeted area, and some water.

*Note: This is a Cardio-based class. Make sure to continue to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Feel free to share photos of the young Jedi in training!

I follow Outschool's policies regarding transfers and refunds. Transfers can only be made up until 24 hours before, except under extenuating circumstances.

(Also available for birthdays or parties upon request)

Learning Goals
Students will learn to have positive discussions with fellow learners about Star Wars Jedi moves, characters, and work out moves. During our work out, students will learn to stretch correctly. They will learn fun and exciting moves through working out that will help them look and use the force like a real Jedi. This is a cardio-workout, which will: strengthen heart and muscles, burn calories, reduce body stiffness, and boost "good mood" chemicals.
