In case you didn't notice, I'm a huge Star Wars fan! The fact that you're here, must mean that you have a little Star Wars fan in your life! Well, you've come to the right place for a ton of fun! In this session, students are encouraged to wear their favorite Star Wars shirt or costume and bring their favorite Star Wars toy (can be action figure, Lego figure, or other such object). Students will get the opportunity to show-and-tell and participate in group discussion. There will also be a time of teacher-led instruction about some of the most popular heroes from the galaxy along with some fun and interesting facts! By the end of class, learners will even get to make a craft inspired by one of the heroes! The only requirement here is that your learner LOVES Star Wars. So, you're all set! See you in class! :)

Teacher expertise and credentials
Well, hello there!
My name is Lily and I live in Ohio with my parents, 6 brothers, and 1 sister! I was home-schooled all the way through, and earned my degree in Elementary Education through an online college. Doing school from home gave me the amazing opportunity to be involved in plenty of hands-on learning and meaningful experiences that has enabled me to be a successful Sunday school teacher, piano teacher, teacher's assistant for a homeschool co-op, long-term substitute, and intervention teacher. It is my firm belief that the best teachers are those who are passionate about what they teach. I believe that children do not learn from our advice, but from our example!
You may be wondering what exactly is it that I love to teach, and the answer is; a little bit of everything! Here are some fun facts about me:
I have played piano for over 16 years.
I LOVE Star Wars.
I am a total book nerd and have read hundreds of books including many from children's literature authors.
I have over 8 years of experience working with literature in a classroom setting.
Now that's enough about me; I want to meet you!
See you in the classroom! :)
