Description
Class Experience
Students will have a safe space to socialize and discuss their Star Wars knowledge, compete in fun games, and overall be creative and practice social skills.
I have been a Star Wars fan for well over half of my life now. I’ve watched all the movies, watched nearly all the TV series (a little behind on the latest season of Clone Wars), played a number of video games (old school ones but they count, right?), read many many of the novels (especially the Legends), comics, built quite a few Star Wars Legos, and have seen so many of the behind- the-scenes feature tres and/or documentaries about the OT and Prequel Trilogy. I still collect figures and other Star Wars collectibles. Super fan? Yes!

40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Please refer to the Common Sense Media guide to Star Wars for age appropriateness per age: https://www.commonsensemedia.org/blog/star-wars-age-by-age-guide
This is designed for avid Star Wars fans. Learners will enjoy the class more if they have delved deep into the comics, novelizations, video games, movies and TV series. Teacher may refer to various books or sources during class. Some weeks we will play trivia games that may require use of an extra device (think a cell phone for playing Kahoot!). For each weekly topic teacher will give a list of sources to reference or a list of any extra supplies needed (in case of a game or crafting day).
