Star Wars is a franchise spanning a variety of films, television series, and books spanning across four decades and it shows no signs of slowing down. In November 2019, the streaming service Disney + was launched and with it Star Wars fans were given an expansion of the franchise with brand new characters. Actor Pedro Pascal stars as Din Djarin also known as Mando, a Mandalorian bounty hunter who is tasked with returning a mysterious child to his people. Throughout this spaghetti western style space story Mando encounters new friends and adversaries alike as he travels across the Star Wars universe to complete his quest. We will not discuss any of the Skywalker Saga movies in this class or spinoff movies such as Rouge One and Solo a Star Wars Story. We will only discuss the series The Mandalorian. Even if we have seen the entire series already, I expect we should watch each episode prior to our discussion. You do not need to watch all sixteen episodes in the same week. I ask that you watch the one episode per week prior to attending class. During our discussion I will ask each learner to share what they liked and didn’t like about the episode then I will walk everyone through the episode scene for scene, I use this same approach for all of my Outschool film studies classes. We will discuss one episode per week from the first and second seasons of the series. A third season of The Mandalorian has been announced but as of the creation of this class has not yet been released. When the third season is released this class will be extended. A sample schedule has been included below. Learning Goals
Students will be invited to join this class and participate in as much of the in-class discussions as possible. Our goals should be to come together as fans and have fun.

The Mandalorian does not show any blood. There are multiple scenes demonstrating gun violence.
