Master Adventurer Club (MAC): Standing Up To Peer Pressure This is an ongoing club that meets once a week. Each club meeting highlights a new theme with a story read by me and my friend Wyatt the Wise Wizzard™ alongside a game followed by a discussion session and a craft to remember what we learned. After each session Parents receive a one-page WISDOM sheet with a summary of the story, the theme of the meeting, and ideas for things you can do at home to keep the learning going. Kids can...

I am a retired educator, with a life-long love for learning how the mind works. I have been following brain research, neurology and psychology, since high school in the eighties! I was the kid reading Science News Magazine for pleasure back in middle school. I started @GinasJumpStartLearning to teach kids how the brain works along with actions they can take to get their brains working for them and not against them. 1) The term "belief system" is a key term used in Adventures in Wisdom, it refers to what a person believes to be true about themselves at a subconscious level. Adventures in Wisdom™ is a secular program and does not promote any religious or political beliefs. 2) The main character in the stories is Wyatt the Wise Wizard. Wyatt is a friendly character who serves as a mentor to the characters in the stories. It is through the coaching stories and with the support of a certified WISDOM Coach™, that children learn how to apply these skills to their own lives. Although Wyatt is a wizard, he is not teaching “wizardry”. He is teaching children how to: • handle the ups and downs of growing up without giving up on themselves or getting down on themselves – building positive self-esteem and strong self-confidence. • develop a strong inner compass so they have strong core values (integrity, self-responsibility, respect, self-respect, and self-leadership). • make good decisions and stand up to peer pressure. • develop a vision for their lives, achieve their goals, and live in gratitude. • handle disappointments, manage mistakes, overcome fear, and manage change
