In this one-time class your little chef will learn to make leprechaun treats which will include cookies and a healthy fruit or vegetable rainbow that ends in a pot of gold dipping sauce.

Just gather the ingredients for the cookies and during the part when we do the rainbow I will give the option to also just draw and color a rainbow. 1 file available upon enrollmentSupplies Needed For Cookies (Measurements provided upon enrollment): • Salted Butter • Granulated White Sugar • Eggs • Vanilla • All Purpose White Flour • Baking Soda • Green Food Coloring (More or less depending on your food coloring and preference) • Powdered Sugar • Fork or Spoon (For mixing) • 2 Medium Bowls • Quart Plastic Bag or Plastic Wrap (To wrap dough before it goes in the freezer for 5 minutes) • Cookie Tray (I recommend putting parchment paper or a silicon mat on the cookie tray but if you do not have one just the Cookie Tray will work) • Oven Supplies Needed For Rainbow: • Crayons and Paper OR • Fruits or Vegetables that are the colors of the rainbow Examples: - Red = Cherry Tomatoes, Strawberries, Red Peppers, etc. - Orange = Mandarin Oranges, Carrots, Orange Peppers, etc. - Yellow = Pineapple, Bananas, Yellow Peppers, etc. - Green = Green Grapes, Broccoli, Green Peppers, etc. - Blue = Blueberries, Blue Cauliflower, etc. - Violet = Purple Grapes, Raisins, etc. • Dipping Sauce (I recommend Vanilla Yogurt for fruit and Ranch Dressing for Vegetables but you can use anything you wish) • Plate or Tray • Dipping Sauce Holder (A leftover mini cauldron from Halloween works great but if you do not have one then a small cup or bowl would also work)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
An adult will need to measure and prep all ingredients so the student will not need to use a knife and can easily just mix and create the cookies and rainbow during class. An adult will need to bake the cookies in an oven during class. The supply list section includes all ingredients. Please review in case your child has any allergies.
