This one-hour course offers an introduction to the history, symbols, and limerick writing technique associated with the celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

Class experience

US Grade 3 - 6
1.	Students will explain why St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated and explain who St. Patrick is.  
2.	Students will identify three or more symbols of St. Patrick’s Day and explain the relevance of each to the St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
3.	Students will identify vocabulary unique to the country of Ireland and the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. 
4.	Students will write limericks and explain the structure of a limerick.
I am offering this class as a tool to help students become more familiar with St. Patrick's Day, a holiday celebrated by many throughout the world.
