Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
St. Patrick's Day is celebrated in many different places around the world. Some of these celebrate in similar ways but some plac have their very own surprising traditions.

How is St. Patrick's Day celebrated in space?!
Where and how is a whole river died green?
Where is the shortest St. Patrick's Day parade held?
Why do people wear green?
What do snakes have to do with this holiday?
What country has the largest St. Patrick's Day gathering? It is NOT Ireland!

This class will be relaxed and full of fun while virtually travelling the world together!
If there is time we will also read a story in class about the History of St. Patrick's Day. Students will also be provided with a coloring sheet upon enrolment that they can bring to class.

*Traditions discussed in this class are typically done in each particular country. However, this does not mean that every community or home would celebrate in the same way.
*Although this class is secular St. Patrick was a real person. We will briefly be speaking about who he was and mention that this holiday came into effect after he passed away.
