Homework
Because this is an experience tailor-made to at most three students, I will be assigning test-appropriate homework that will reinforce the material we covered during the session. I have a wealth of material in my files that I can assign for homework and I have a sharp instinct for what to "prescribe" at the end of the class. I am good at giving students the right amount of the right kind of homework.
Assessment
Upon request, a brief email reporting on student engagement will be sent after the class.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 5
In this class, we will familiarize our students with the lower and middle level SSAT or ISEE. Because this is a small class, we will be able to tailor the experience to the needs of our students. If our students are taking the SSAT, this is the test we will focus on. If our students most need to work on language arts, we can dedicate our efforts to strengthening those particular skills. If the students will be taking the ISEE and needs help with quantitative reasoning, those factors will be the guiding principles as we construct a student-centered experience.
Learning Goals
The students will come away with greater familiarity with each of the different parts of the test. This will help to alleviate the anxiety that typically accompanies a test experience of this sort. We will log plenty of time with practice questions that closely resemble those questions our students will encounter on the real test. The goal here is to instill familiarity and gather confidence in the face of this challenge.

Sources
I have plenty of material of a wide variety to carry the class. Our students really only need to bring themselves to the meeting. That said, any materials that our students would like to bring to class and consult with is welcome. I like test prep manuals of every stripe. I collect them, and I am always interested in finding out about new ones.
