Students will turn a squiggle on a page into their own creative drawing. In this class, students will have the opportunity to demonstrate creativity, practice drawing skills, and share their creation with others.

Did you know that students can display gifted qualities through art? Art is also a fantastic method for children to express themselves. In this class, students will turn a simple squiggle on a page into their own creative masterpiece. All students will begin with the same squiggle but will use their creativity and imagination to develop an illustration all their own. Students will be given independent work time to create their drawing with soft music playing in the background. At the end of class, students will have the opportunity to share their unique creation with their classmates. This class is perfect for students to relax, have fun, and wind down before bedtime. This class is open to all students willing to be creative! The squiggle will be different each week, and students will be encouraged to try to turn their squiggle into a drawing that aligns with the theme for the week. See the themes below! Hi, friends! I’m Mrs. Silashki, a third grade teacher from sunny Arizona. I earned my degree in elementary education from the University of Arizona in 2017 & have been teaching ever since. Teaching has always been my DREAM and I’m real excited to get to do more of what I love on Outschool with YOU!
I teach a variety of classes, but no matter the content, I strive to make all of my classes RELEVANT. I believe that true learning occurs when students can apply what they’re taught to their daily life. I also love to incorporate music into my classes whenever possible! Our time together will be spent solving real-world problems, writing for realistic purposes, and seeing that learning is EVERYWHERE!
When I’m not at work, you can find me sipping a Starbucks refresher, watching baseball, and loving on my family. I’m married to my high school sweetheart & we welcomed our sweet baby boy in 2020.
