In this interactive class, we learn about three squid species that actually glow. First we explore basic squid facts, then take a deeper dive into the species that glow. We use a PowerPoint slide presentation, created by me, to see pictures. We also view short video clips through screen sharing. All learners are encouraged to ask questions and participate in the discussion. At the end of class we play a game of Kahoot! Learners do not need a second screen or another device to do this. As well as education, I studied biology in college. I taught science in the classroom for 21 years, then worked as the Middle School Science Specialist for the State Department of Education (Alabama) for 6 years before retiring to teach online. Biology fascinates me, and I love to share my enthusiasm with youngsters!
