Can you save the world? A hard drive with all of America's greatest secrets has been stolen. You only have a few hours to retrieve it or it will be lost forever to our enemies. Can you solve the clues and travel around the world to retrieve it and save the world? In this one-time class, students will navigate maps and solve puzzles to retrieve the hard drive and save the world. Students will travel around the World solving clues. They will visit famous world attractions on their mission. I will use pictures, video, and an engaging story to create a scene for the students. Students will solve 10 clues to escape. They will travel all over the World and use a map of the World to get around. Students will solve riddles, mazes, maps, crypograms, trivia questions, and more to complete the mission. In one of the clues, students will decode a Morris Code message. This class is a great way to have fun and work on critical thinking skills. Students will make friends and be challenged to solve all the clues. Students will learn about geography while solving these clues. Through solving a series of fun but challenging puzzles, students will work on their problem solving skills. Please have paper and a pencil/pen handy for this class.
Learning Goals
Students will develop critical thinking skills by solving a series of riddles, clues, and mazes. Some of these challenges will develop math skills. All of them will work on problem solving and teamwork.

Hi! My name is Lydia. I am a teacher and a librarian. I love learning, and I think learning should be fun. I like to laugh, sing, and play with little kids, and I love exploring strange and exciting topics with older learners.
Throughout the course of my career, I have worked with kids of all ages - from children as young as three all the way up to high school seniors.I have worked as a classroom teacher, preschool teacher, school librarian, nanny, camp counselor, and volleyball coach. I have more than ten years experience working with kids. I have a Bachelor's degree in English. I also have a Master's degree in Library and Informational Sciences specializing in school library media. When I completed my Master's program, I receiving a teaching certificate in the state of Virginia.
Before my career in education, I worked as a newspaper reporter. I still love reading a daily newspaper, and I am very passionate about current events.
I also love to cook and bake, and I'm really good at it. I even have my own wheat grinder and make my own bread. It's not all healthy, though. I can make some of the best tasting ice cream in the world! Check out some of my cooking classes, and I'll teach you all you need to know!
