In this 4 day camp, students will make new Outschool friends and learn about nature photography! Students will show favorite nature photographs to class and talk about the story behind their artwork while enjoying the current season!
Class experience
This is a nature photography themed class where students practice social skills through visual art, storytelling, listening, and sharing. In class, they will also ask and answer simple questions about their photography artwork, learn new terminology and photo techniques. We will talk about shadows/lighting, texture, safety in nature, and composition. This class is aimed to build self-confidence and foster a love of nature and photography. This class is taught in English.
Students will gain self-confidence, and foster a love of nature and photography. They will also learn composition and lighting techniques found in nature. Students will also learn new photography vocabulary words while also practicing their presentation skills.
Any type of smartphone, tablet, or camera. The larger the images the better for show and tell. You can show them digitally through the "share screen" feature in Zoom or print them out to hold up to the webcam.
Students must spend time in nature for their projects and should be supervised. Try visiting different outdoor locations each week for a variety of images.
