Week 1 - What is veterinary animal science? - Introduction to Animal Science for Future Veterinarians - History of Veterinary Medicine - Traditional Species in the Collegiate Setting of Animal Science Week 2: - Principles of Anatomy and Physiology for the Veterinary Professional - Generalized Conditions and Treatments - Students will be able to explain how emergency medicine is different than general medicine - Students will practice organizing patients into order of severity Week 3: - Generalized Conditions and Treatments - Roles in a Veterinary Clinic - Pharmacology & Classifications of Medications Week 4: - Clinical Skills & How to Practice Those Skills Today - What Makes a Great Veterinary Professional - The Future of Veterinary Medicine
I am an Animal Scientist after graduating NC State in 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science Pre-Vet with a minor and additional concentrations. I worked in veterinary medicine and animal science in many veterinary clinics and at NC State ranging from 2004-2014 when I moved into education of animal species. I am prepared for this course.

This is a veterinary science class, students may be exposed to needles and blood or pictures of organs during class. I do not share extremely gory pictures or severe animal abuse photography to respect more sensitive learners.
