Class Experience

In this one time class, students will learn weather expressions, colors, baby animal names, and spring flower names in French. Students will color and describe a scene in French along with the teacher. At the end of class, they will be able to describe their scenes in French out loud to the class. Students will listen and speak in French with guidance from the teacher. Students should bring their coloring utensils and the documents sent by the teacher prior to class. Bonjour! I am Madame Heather and I am a licensed French teacher for ages preK-12. I have 14 years teaching experience in the classroom and over 4 years teaching experience online. I have a BA in French, an MA in Sociolinguitics, and I have lived in the south of France where I taught ESL. I am an engaging teacher who focuses first on making the student feel comfortable learning a new language in a natural way. I believe learning a language should be fun and I also like to use manipulatives to keep students moving during class. I look forward to helping your student expand their interest in francophone culture and language.
