Beginner Level
Each class offers an interactive workshop designed to immerse your young artist in a new acting technique. We start each class with a dynamic warm-up activity that boosts our confidence and energizes our voices. Following the warm-ups, we dive into engaging theatre games and collaborative partner exercises, allowing us to explore and master the techniques of the day. These classes do not build, so students may feel free to join in at any time! Week 1: 05/13 & 05/15 Topic: Pantomime Summary: Students will learn how actors use gestures to communicate without words and discover that facial expressions and body language can be their most important tools for storytelling! Week 2: 05/20 & 05/22 Topic: Tableau Summary: Let’s create living pictures! Students will "freeze-frame" to represent locations, activities, and emotions using body movement and facial expressions, enhancing nonverbal communication and creativity! Week 3: 05/27 & 05/29 Topic: Story Telling Summary: Imagination takes center stage as students learn to identify the main elements of a story and develop their quick-thinking skills to create their own!
Learning Goals
