Description

Class Experience

In this book Club , we will meet once a week for 12 weeks to discuss our books. We will read one book a week and students will need to be ready to talk about the story during our meeting. We will read 12 books that will be a mix of modern and more classic children's literature. The goal of the class is to help learners analyze a novel and to express their thoughts and opinions. Topics that will be explored are characters, theme,genre, conflict and resolution, setting, point of view and...

Students will improve independent reading skills. They will practice taking turns and engaging in conversations. They will learn literary elements.

We are reading a book a week so students will need to read the book for the next week's class.

Students will need a copy of the books. We need at least 4 learners to have a successful book club format so please consider sharing the listing.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
