Description

Class Experience

In this one-time introductory course, students will learn the basics of four parts of speech: nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. They will then use this information to help them as they complete several spring themed mad libs which are fill in the blank silly stories. Students will complete two mad libs during the live class meeting along with the teacher. In this way, they will become familiar with how mad libs work and will get practice using the parts of speech they have learned. Then,...

Students will learn basic information about nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.
Students will learn how word games can be a fun way to practice grammar concepts.
Students will discuss the work of their classmates in a positive and encouraging manner and will participate in a friendly competition with good sportsmanship and kindness.

Students will be asked to complete 2 additional mad libs outside of the live meeting and post them in the class discussion.

Students will be provided 2 documents which will need to be printed after the live meeting.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
