Class Experience

In this ongoing Spring Easter drawing class, students will learn to draw a flower crown bunny, chick in an Easter basket, cute bunny with Easter eggs, and baby lamb in a field of tulips, using colored pencil.

Please note that since this is an ongoing course, students can enroll or withdraw at any time. Each scheduled meeting will be spent drawing ONE picture and learning different colored pencil techniques. Students do not need to be enrolled in previous weeks of this class to be successful. Please check the weekly break-down below for specific learning goals, materials used (see supply list), and days each class will be taught.

For every class, I will demonstrate each step for students and have students complete that step along with me. My classroom is a calm, fun, and creative environment where discussion between teacher and students is encouraged and a great place for students to make lasting friendships. I ask students questions throughout the lesson to check for student understanding. Students may also interact with each other if they want to share what they have learned during class. Students who enroll in this class should have basic drawing skills, like drawing and manipulating shapes with a pencil.

✨Welcome to my teacher page! ✨

After graduating with Bachelor's Degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, I decided to make the leap of starting my author and illustrator career. Since then, I have written and illustrated my first middle grade fantasy book, Brush of Magic, with many more in the works!

Along with running my own art and book shop, I design and teach a variety of drawing and painting classes, ranging from realistic sketching, watercolor painting, fantasy drawing, and illustration. I have taught for about 9 years, 4 of which have been specific to art. I love the time I get to spend with my students, creating art, and chatting about booksβ€”especially if the books and art are whimsical or magical!

All the artwork, books, and stationary designs in my shop are created by me. I often find inspiration for my art and books through reading, spending time with my cats and dogs, and brainstorming imaginary creatures in my sketchbook.

Thank you for stopping by! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am always happy to help.😊
