Intermediate Level
-Major scales including C major through E major -Speciality bowing technique and articulations -Specific bow exercises to strengthen and solidify bow technique -Focus on a solo tailored to each student's ability level Class is structured as a group lesson taught by modeling and demonstration. Students have the opportunity to interact throughout the class and will be expected to play their instrument over zoom so that I can help guide and assess the student. Although it is a group class that is welcoming of students of varying levels (2nd and 3rd year players), I will address each learner's specific needs and make sure all learners are working at their own pace.

Review previous scales, add A and E major scales. Explore different bowing articulations and technique exercises, continue progress on selected Suzuki solo.

Other Details
Pre-Requisites
This course is recommended for string players who are on their 2nd to 3rd year of playing. They should have at least 1 solid year of string lesson experience under their belt, as this content will be beyond the beginner level.
Supply List
-Your string instrument (violin, viola, cello, or bass) in good working condition and tuned. -Rosin -PDFs of sheet music supplied to you via the class

I have been an orchestra teacher for 18 years! I have directed 4th-5th as well as 9th-12th grade orchestra in public school this entire time. I built the strings program in my district from the ground up. I also teach privately outside of school, focusing on violin, viola, and piano and working with students of all ages and abilities.
