Class Experience

This is NOT a beginner class. Some drawing experience is helpful. 

In this one-time class, you'll learn expert tips to develop your basic drawing skills further. Learn some basic shape foundations of drawing, sketching, and realism techniques. In addition, you will learn to draw an excellent dragon step by step. First, we learn how to observe the reference image we will be drawing. Then, after careful observation, we break down our reference image into basic shapes like circles, ovals, rectangles, and triangles, making it more simple to draw! Finally, at the end of the session, we share the work we've created!

Learning Goals

Further, develop observational skills and learn basic shape foundations of drawing, sketching, and realism techniques. In addition, you will learn to draw an excellent dragon step by step. This one-time class mimics the subscription drawing clubs hosted by Ms. Jones-Jones of Art weekly. We draw together using these techniques in each of my drawing classes to become excellent at drawing/ recording anything we view with communicable accuracy. I look forward to helping the students see things a little differently.

NOT for beginners. Some drawing experience is helpful. Knowledge of line, shape and value is helpful,

I am Jennifer Jones - Jones of Art: professional Artist , Art Instructor, and Muralist. 

You'll learn the basic and advanced techniques of drawing, how to paint and utilize mixed mediums, dabble with pastels, be inspired by artists in history, learn basic animation, digital arts, and much more... You'll gain new motor and cognitive skills along with a new awareness of the importance of creativity and art in our everyday lives as well as your community. 

Background: Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts and Animation stemming from Fine Arts with 15 years of instructing experience. I am truly passionate about helping others through art by teaching and experimenting with new techniques and helping students see the world from a new perspective. As a professional Artist and former Chair of the Leander Public Art Commission for the City of Leander, I strive to bring excellent education about art in the community and all areas to those who love to learn, create and explore!
