In this camp class, young learners will work on counting and the skills they need to understand one to one correspondence. These skills include using a number line, numbers that come before and after, and one more/one less.

Description

Class Experience

In each class we will count together from 0-10 and go over our numbers of the day. We will look at our number mats (created and provided by Ms. Kallie) and trace the number with our finger, then we will use a writing implement to trace the number. We will count out objects and learn how to use a tens frame to count. 
We will also use manipulatives to count. A list of suggested items is below.

Students will learn counting skills and 1:1 correspondence skills.

Materials:

-Printer for worksheets and number mats 
-Page Protectors, laminating sheets or dry erase pockets (can be found on Amazon, link in classroom) 
-Dry Erase marker (1) 
-Coloring utensils 
-Manipulatives up to 10 (10 of any small object such as counting cubes, paperclips, Q-tips, erasers, etc.) 
*a printable will be available if needed

3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
