In this multi-day course, students will learn to draw a Collage Crab, a Feathery Fish, a Googly Eye Octopus, a Smiling Shark, and a Playful Dolphin all while learning fun facts about them.

Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room where it is always a good day when you are learning something new. Kids always want to add some fun stuff to their drawings, but they don't realize what they can learn through that. So, I specially design these projects to have some fun while learning. They will learn new things with each project! Kids will learn to think out of the box to color their drawings, learn to recycle material and use it in their art, and how to add a background for their drawing. They will also develop skills on how to use different mediums to color their art.
There is no homework for these classes, but I would encourage kids to make some more pieces of art using the techniques I taught in class. I love to see what they like and learn in class and give feedback.
Material for Collage Crab: 1. Drawing book/piece of paper (at least 8x11 preferred) 2. Pencil 3. Eraser 4. Ruler 5. Paints-Blue yellow and brown for the background 6. Brushes-Flat 8 and 10 or bigger (for dry brushing) 7. Color mixing palate 8. Small water cup for cleaning paintbrushes 9. Paper towels 10.Sharpie/Black Pen 11.Old magazine paper/ unimportant colored pieces of paper preferably red color 12. Goggly eyes (optional) Material for Feathery Fish: 1. Drawing book/piece of paper (at least 8x11 preferred) 2. Pencil 3. Eraser 4. Ruler 5. Crayons 6. Sharpie to trace the drawing 7. Colored feathers (you can find them in any craft store) 8. Washable school glue/glue stick Material for Googly Eye Octopus: 1. Drawing book/piece of paper (at least 8x11 preferred) 2. Pencil 3. Eraser 4. Ruler 5. Sharpie to trace the drawing 6. Q-tips 7. Two googly eyes 8. Washable school glue/glue stick 9. Acrylic paints-white, blue, green, and color of their choice for an octopus and background fishes 10. Brushes round and flat both 11.
