Class experience
Being comfortable with spreadsheets is an important skill for our ever changing world. They are all around us, and necessary in multiple settings. In this class, we will explore the basics of spreadsheets, and some of the most popular uses. Beginners will learn how to input, modify, and sort data; use formulas; create charts; and make things look “nice” through formatting. Students will have a basic understand and proficiency with some of the most common uses of spreadsheets. They will be able to create and manipulate a spreadsheet to serve a specific purpose.
I have been a business owner for multiple years. I use spreadsheets on a daily basis, and have created multiple sheets for various purposes. I’ve taught multiple people (employees and students) how to confidently use spreadsheets to assist them in their jobs and daily lives.
Homework Offered
Each class will have practice files available for the focus on that day’s class. Students should use these files to practice the skills that were demonstrated. They will be provided in multiple formats to ease the transition between various platforms.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
