A week long camp style class that would meet each day, culminating in a "performance" at the end of the last class. Improv (improvisation) is the theatrical art of making up scenes on the spot. In this class the student will learn the "rules" and techniques of improv to make a scene successful. I own and am the Artistic Director of a youth based educational Performing Arts Center. We produce over 20 plays and musicals each year which I direct, produce and music direct (and build sets, create props, run tech). I also direct plays and musicals in area elementary, middle and high schools as well as teach several acting and theatre performance courses at the college level. I have specifically been teaching and performing in varioud Improv troupes for over 20 years.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be a fun final performance at the end of the week.
4 hours 35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
