US Grade 2 - 3
Adjectives are the backbone of writing! They are needed to add description to our writing as well as to give necessary information. In this class, we will talk about what a part of speech actually is. Included is what elements make up a sentence: A capital letter, a subject and a verb, a complete thought, and end mark punctuation. Adjectives are like icing on a cake - they give the sentence flavor and enhance it. Your student will learn the definition of an adjective, what parts of speech do they work with, and what questions do they ask. Common and proper adjectives will also be covered. We will also identify adjectives in sentences. This is a fun, relaxed, interactive class. A summary attachment sheet will be posted in the classroom after the class so that your learner will retain what we discuss. Class Rules: We mute so we do not talk over one another, we are kind and respectful to everyone, we raise our hand if we have a comment or question, and per the Outschool rules, the camera must be turned on at the beginning of class so I may verify the learner.
