Think you can spot which sentence was not written by one of your peers? ✍️ Here's how it works: Each of you will write a sentence based on the same theme. Once everyone has submitted their sentence, I'll display them for you at random, including a sentence written by an AI program. Then you'll vote on the sentence you think was written by a bot. Easy, right? Let’s try one! 1) During the summer, a hungry cat chased a balloon while piano music filled the air. 2) Every summer, my hungry cat sits on a piano and watches balloons fly by. 3) The cat loved piano music so much, it forgot it was hungry and spent the rest of summer playing songs about balloons. The answer is... Sentence number one! Did you guess correctly? We will do as many rounds of sentences as we can during our class time. The following week, we'll try again with a new sentence theme. At the end of class, we'll see if we can find a common link in the AI sentences. Is there any kind of pattern with the sentence structure, for example? Think you're up for the challenge? Join in and let's find out if you can spot the bot! 🤖 ⭐️ SCHEDULE ⭐️ -This class meets once per week. -There is no set schedule because the sentence theme will be chosen at the beginning of class. -If we don’t meet a particular week, I’ll give you as much notice as possible. 🙋 2 LEARNER MINIMUM 🧑💻 This class needs at least 2 learners to work as intended. If there is only one learner 24 hours before class time, unfortunately I’ll need to cancel class and you’ll be refunded. Any questions? Please ask! —————————————————————— Refund within 24 hours of payment until your next meeting or lesson access begins.

Hello, Outschool! My name is Teacher Lauren, and I'm so happy to meet you.
My Outschool schedule includes a variety of English classes. Want to learn some literary terms? Try The Literary Twists and Turns of the Twilight Zone! Want to write something weird? Try Weird Writing Weekly or One Weird Writing. Want to write about your cat? Try Cat Tales! Or maybe you're looking for more of a challenge? Try a class in the Write Now, Right Now Series! Whichever class you choose, you are sure to have fun and learn something new in the process.
Most of my classes are 5 learners or less, especially for my writing classes. I prefer smaller groups for a more personalized class, where your voice matters. I want you to feel like you're part of a writing club, not lost in a sea of students. I encourage interaction and sharing ideas, all in a friendly and laid-back space.
