Sports Psychology - Weekly Discussion Class
What's included
1 live meeting
25 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
*Please note that this class is not mental training for athletes. This is a discussion-based class.* My goal is to create a meaningful, comfortable, social learning environment where students discuss interesting topics and connect with each other. This is a discussion-based class that helps students build speaking and listening skills. Students will look at real world examples of sports psychology topics and engage in a discussion. Here are some examples of discussion topics we may jump into: Which is more important: physical skill or mental skill? What psychological tools make a good teammate? Can being booed motivate a player? What mental factors lead to poor performance? What role does anxiety play in sports? Can it be a good thing? Class topics will be largely learner-led. Students will have plenty of opportunities to share their input and listen to others. They will be encouraged to relate class topics to their own experience whether it be playing or watching sports.
