Sports Podcasting, Broadcasting, and Sports Radio Careers for Intermediate!
Class experience
This is the intermediate level for this course. My introduction/beginner course starts to dive into sports podcasting and broadcasting, recording software, finding as well as writing sports topics and segments for a podcast, and publishing. This course the focus will be on using Garageband, Audacity, ANCOR, Google Podcast, and/or other podcasting software with the main intent to develop a finish product to publish on ANCOR, Spotify, and/or ITunes. This course is a deeper dive into sports...
Our main learning goals will be to learn about careers in radio - specifically sports broadcasting and sports podcasting. However, this course will dive into all the careers with radio, media, journalism, and podcasting. The prior sports podcasting course explained the process or the "how to" in creating a sports broadcast or podcast, but students will also gain the experience to practice and create their sports broadcast and/or podcast. This course the main goal is not just to practice our podcasting and broadcasting, but also to develop segments for a show, understanding the tools when recording, and start publishing content.
The ability to write out the topics for the podcast (computer writing software or pen/paper) and a recording device (phone, computer, and/or a free podcasting software/application from the web). We work with the type of technology that the student has. The course will does require a recording, which the student can do on a PC or MAC, the downloading of a free podcasting software with parents permission, recording on a phone, and Outschool has away to record as well. For this course we are starting to get more advanced with podcasting and publishing. However, there are a lot of excellent and FREE podcasting and publishing software and websites that we will introduce students too.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
