I have made up a simple Halloween tale, with no real monsters, vampires or the like. The story goes that someone was out walking Halloween night near the old mansion overlooking the sea. It starts with the sound of distant thunder, and then a few drops of rain, provided by a large sheet of aluminum, and a giant visible rain stick. As the story progresses children are asked to identify the sounds, and then I show them what created them. The sounds created without the help of any electronic devices, and harken back to the days of early theater and movies. Included sounds are: Crack of thunder Howlin’ wolf Creaking door opening Weird sounding clock chime Spacey water dripping And more ... The story is followed by a fun interactive trick-or-treating song I wrote for my children when they were little, (now adults) I finish the Halloween fun with a spooky little guitar instrumental called “Cats Meow”, (I’m a guitar teacher 🤓).
