Class Experience
This intermediate level Minecraft Survival Mode challenge begins on a custom created skyblock island amid a spooky Halloween modded map. You will need to use problem solving skills and Minecraft Survival Mode skills to gather the resources around you, craft your tools, create builds to assist & protect you, and create your path to travel through the skyblocks to other skyblocks and then to the Pumkin King's mansion for an EPIC battle. Minecraft Bedrock skyblock survival crafting and building skills, social gaming, and fun
I am a highly experienced and actively certified School Library Media Technology Specialist (PreK-12th grade), certified English Language Arts teacher, certified TVI, homeschool educator, and a Minecraft and Roblox gamer. I also have a Master of Science: Curriculum and Instruction VI degree. I also have a Minecraft Education Edition certification. I continuously seek to be inclusive and empowering towards every learner in every class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class requires your learner's Minecraft Bedrock gamer tag name to be shared privately with me in a private message on Outschool's messaging (not posted on the classroom page), Minecraft gamer tag friending is necessary for your learner to participate on my private server, and adjusting settings to allow cross-platform multiplayer play is required. Please read the Classroom tab's welcome message as soon as possible upon enrollment for detailed instructions on sending me your learner's gamer tag name to me in a private message on Outschool, having them send me a Minecraft Bedrock friend request (my gamer tag name is in the welcome post, and setting up cross-platform multiplayer settings. Please message if you have further questions as I am happy to help. I am attentive and available to share crafting recipes and tips along the way. We are playing in an intermediate level Survival Mode Multiplayer (SMP) custom map. Beginning skyblock supplies are provided. Keep inventory is on. PVP battles are off. Minecraft has cartoon/fantasy, mild violence without blood or gore, that learners familiar with Minecraft mob battles will be very familiar with plus a Pumpkin King. All learners will need to be in the Outschool classroom to participate in our class Minecraft map. Collaboration is encouraged and is optional. Keep inventory is on. Player vs Player (PVP) battles are off. Learners who are looking to break, take, grief, or block others, or destroy or lag the Minecraft game are not a good fit for this class.
