Spooky Count: Early Math Skills
In this one-time class, we'll use fun spooky-themed cut outs to practice counting using 1-to-1 correspondence for numbers 1-10. We'll work on simple addition, sorting and patterning skills, which will also develop our math vocabulary.

In this one-time class we will use fun spooky-themed cut outs to practice counting and developing number sense for numbers 1-10. We will be begin with an optional Spooky Share, where each learner will be greeted and have the opportunity to share a response to the question: Which of these is your favorite spooky item? (Spider, bat, jack-o-lantern, ghost, skeleton, monster, black cat, etc.). Following, we will sing a counting song, practice counting our spooky items using 1-to-1...
Students will develop 1-to-1 correspondence counting, sorting, patterning and simple addition skills. Students will learn and use key math vocabulary throughout class.
1 file available upon enrollmentYou will need: - Spooky Count printable worksheet (provided before class). - Child-safe scissors - Crayons, markers or colored pencils for use during class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
