Class experience
For many Halloween is a time of fear and fright. Join me in class where we'll take a plunge into the darker side of art history looking at some works that are strange, weird, and frightening. Including Edvard Munch's The Scream, Bacon's Portrait of Pope Innocent X, and Fuseli's The Nightmare. I teach art history to college students at a local community college. This is a lecture I will give them in our class on October 29th. Please message me for a full list of artworks discussed in this lecture. Images are not always pleasant including paintings of Saturn Devouring His Son, Studies of Anatomy, and a skeleton smoking. We'll talk about learning anatomy from real human forms, and stories of the ancient gods that inspired works.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
