Class Experience
In this class students will spell words provided by the teacher that will vary each time this course is scheduled. We will count the syllables before spelling each word that helps with pronouncing and visualizing how words are spelled. Spelling well is an important skill to have and good to continue to improve on. The words that will be used were obtained from a list of 3rd grade spelling words. In this class students will spell words provided by the teacher that will vary each time this course is scheduled. We will count the syllables before spelling each word that helps with pronouncing and visualizing how words are spelled. Spelling well is an important skill to have and good to continue to improve on. The words that will be used were obtained from a list of 3rd grade spelling words. We will use auditory, visual and social techniques to learn as a group. We will practice and spell together also individually (everyone can always take part on chat when taking turns by messaging the teacher the spelling of each word). Your child can be in a different grade and still take part in this class.
I highly recommend taking notes on words they need to work on to review after class. I will also provide a list of 3rd grade words that they can continue to practice spelling.
Optional: Paper and pencil to write down the words that can help some kids more with their spelling process. Also, for taking notes of words to review after the course.
Each of the learners progress will be assessed in each class how well they spell and by getting more challenging words as they excel.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
