In this one-time class, we will share the story of "Love, Splat" by Rob Scotton and see Splat's quest to deliver a very special Valentine's Day card... then we'll color some cat-themed Valentine's Day cards for our own special people!

Class Experience
In this one-time class, we will read about my favorite cat, Splat, in the book "Love, Splat" by Rob Scotton! It's Valentine's Day, and Splat can't wait to give his special valentine to his friend Kitten! Class Format: 1. Student & Teacher Introductions//Expectations* - a simple start to class to get students feeling comfortable 2. Interactive Read-Aloud - as I read, I will stop and elicit participation from the students about the plot and characters 3. Crafty Time! - we will color and cut...
1 file available upon enrollment16 Valentine's Day cards (4-page PDF), scissors, crayons/markers/colored pencils (**to make sturdier valentines, I recommend printing on cardstock or gluing to construction paper after coloring and cutting are done!)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need assistance with using scissors to cut out their valentines after coloring!
