In this ongoing club, students will work on strengthening their topic sentence writing skills by spinning The Wheel of Topics and having a group-based discussion on the topic. Based on the direction the group takes the discussion, students will practice writing a topic sentence to best describe or introduce the subject. Each session will be broken into about three 7 minute parts where the students will first spin the wheel and discuss the topic that comes up, followed by writing the topic...
Students will improve their ability to create comprehensive, well-written topic sentences. This will prepare them for future essay writing.
