Class Experience
Marvel has kicked off the Multiverse this year with various shows, and is now bringing in the Spider-verse! In this class, we will discuss every cameo and determine where each comes from and how this could influence the upcoming shows and movies in the future of the MCU. Students will learn the significance of each cameo related to the film.
Aside from being an English teacher, I am also an avid comic book reader and binge-watcher. Comics and films are texts to be analyzed just as much as novels; I have learned that a "text" involves more than just novels and can include films, video games, books, pictures, and more. Using costumed (or sometimes un-costumed) characters, readers can engage in thorough discussions.
