Class Experience

This class includes one video that is about 20 minutes long. It will walk learners through the process of figuring out when to replace a single, silent e and offer opportunities to practice applying the rule of dropping an e when you add a vowel suffix to the base. 
It will also include copies of the word matrices (charts) that are shown in the video to practice with, and a "homework" assignment for additional practice.

Lesson 1:
When to replace a single, silent e
 Learners will learn the rule for when to replace a single, silent e from a base when adding a suffix. Learners will work through examples, discover the rule that English follows of dropping a silent e when adding a vowel suffix, and then practice applying their knowledge to practice spelling new words. 

Other Details

Pre-Requisites
Learners should know the difference between vowels and consonants and to be able to read simple, one-syllable words.
Supply List
Learners will need a pencil and paper to write their word sums to practice.
