Description
Class Experience
In this ongoing class students will learn to improve their spelling with a variety of strategies. We will focus on both sight words and phonics spelling rules. In class we will use vivid pictures and bold print to focus on the target words and sounds. We will use various drills, games and activities to have fun and reinforce learning. Students will have opportunities to participate verbally, by typing in the chat box, and by screen annotation. Students will receive weekly handouts to practice...
Students will practice and improve their spelling of high-frequency sight words and phonics words at the 2nd grade level.
No homework is required, but students will be given handouts to practice writing drills and build a "word wall" at home.
A handout will be provided for each week of class. Student white boards are suggested but not required.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
